Maintain Your Strength of Spirit is Castillo’s first composition for Concert Band. The piece was written as a high school graduation present for his younger brother, who played alto saxophone in the band. MYSS was scheduled for a debut performance in the Spring of 2020, but was delayed due to covid.

KC Syzygy is a compilation album of music created by Kansas City musicians during the stay at home orders of Spring 2020. Castillo organized the creation of this album, and contributed to two of the selections. All proceeds of the album go toward KC Tenants, a local house rights activist group.
